Hood shape design with emphasis on air flow and battery protection

The end result is a strong, recognizable hood that contributes both functionally and aesthetically to the overall image of the family of Tobroco Giant. With smart openings, a well-thought-out design and a clear brand identity, the hood has become a visible and practical part of the vehicle. We started back in 2012 with it’s first design. Mid 2014 we came with a new design DNA that would fit Tobroco Giant’s product range.

For Giant by Tobroco I designed a new hood for their forklift line. The challenge was to combine a functional, robust and maintenance-friendly design with the recognizable design language of the brand. The hood had to be easy to produce, offer good accessibility for maintenance and enhance the visual appearance of the vehicle.

The design and engineering process

The whole design has been setup in 3D, by following our DNA Guideline which has been setup for Tobroco Giant.
The design has been accomplished in cooperation with the engineering team of Giant. We achieved within small timelines
a full line up of wheelloaders having a unique design and appearance.
